Description
Lady's mantle is a perennial plant, 10-40 cm high, with small green-yellow flowers, spread in the hill area (in grass lands, edges of forests and bushes), on steep slopes and starting points of hill slopes.
For medical purposes, the aerial parts of the plant are used, they are collected in the months June-July (when blossoming), during lunchtime, during sunny days, when the plant is perfectly dry (without dew or rain drops), by cutting the entire aerial part under the rosette of basal leaves.
Use
The hydroalcoholic or oily extract has anti-inflammatory, healing, anti-haemorrhagic and anaesthetic action.
Lady's mantle is indicated in treating hemorrhoids, wounds, stomatitis or laryngitis. The anaesthetic action indicates the use in anal fissures or haemorrhoidal crises due to the intense calming effect.
